“Haqdaar” (1964) was an archtypically B grade movie where utilisation of resources was kept to the bare minimum, with the result that the names of most artists involved in this movie are unfamiliar. The movie was a production of Shree Ganesh Films. it was directed by P S Wagle and the “stars” of this movie were Ranjan, Ratnamala,Nasreen etc, which I am sure were household names those days- in the households of these artists. 🙂
Here is a light hearted song from this movie. this song is sung by Rafi, Suman Kalyanpur and another singer called Kaushi Gidwani, who was apparently a relative of the movie makers and so she had to be given her break as a playback singer. In this song, her limitations are covered up since she mostly sings alongwith the other singers.
Prem Warbatani is the lyricist and Bulo C Rani is the music director.
This song is as rare as the movie, and perhaps the makers of this movie deserved it too. Very little information is available abouit this movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie.

Atul ji,
1) The story synopsis and other info about this film was given by me on 23-6-2011,as comments on song ‘Main hoon diwana…’
2) The female singer in the above song is not khushi Gidwani,but her name is KAUSHI GIDWANI.It is true that she had some connection in the film industry,but she has sung few more songs also in the same preiod.One of her duets with Mohd.Rafi is in Shahi Lutera,’hata do chehre se zulfen…’,which was quite famous.
By the way,she is the mother of Film and TV actress KITU GIDWANI.
