I have been mentioning in this blog that I have been highly impressed with the movie “Magroor” (1950). The movie is wonderful, and so are the songs of this movie. All the songs of this movie are gems.

This movie had eight songs in all. Six of the songs are available on youtube. I have posted four of these songs. Here is the fifth song from this movie.

This song is in fact the first song in the movie. Nigar Sultana just had a chance meeting with Rehman and she is falling in love with him. And in this song, she expresses her feelings of being in love. The words written by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan are very effective and expressive in describing the feelings of a girl in love. Shamshad Begam has sung this song nicely.Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.

This is a song, which like the other songs of this movie tugs at the heart strings of the listeners. What a superb song it is !
