It may be difficult to imagine today, but villains like Premnath and Ajit started their filmy careers as heroes in late 1940s-early 1950s, and they in fact acted as heroes for almost a decade before becoming villains. As far as Premnath was concerned, he was a hero in A grade movies too.

“Bandini” (1963) was a melancholic movie, and so one assumes its songs to be melancholic too. But not all songs of this movie are sad songs.

Earlier I had posted a song from “Jaal” (1952) which was sung by Lata. Now I have found that there is another Lata song in this movie, and like the earlier song, this song too is “new” for me.

There are many musical blockbuster movies whose songs are under represented and in some cases even unrepresented in this blog. But then the reason is that there are far too many gems lying there than need to be posted. There are literally a goldmine of great songs that are still left to be posted.

“Teen Deviyaan” (1965) was for some reason a blindspot for me, and I was not much clued in to its songs. Now I am finding out that quite a few songs, which I enjoyed listening to without knowing about their details were actually from this movie.

This song must be one of the very first songs of its genre namely a party/ club song, where a lady sings in a bar/ club to entertain the customers, and one of the customers is the hero.
