Many of R D Burman’s songs in 1970s were fast paced songs that were loud, party songs. But when the sitauation demanded, R D Burman could come up with soft, sensitive romantic songs too.

“Aapke Deewaane” (1980) is a movie that had some nice songs in it. This is one of the few movies I recall where Rafi and Kishore Kumar sang together. It was perhaps for the last time that the two sang together, since Rafi died shortly thereafter.

I have mentioned earlier that the original “Parineeta”, viz “Parineeta”(1953) had some lovely songs in it, though they have been forgotten by now.

“Jaalsaaz” (1959) is a forgotten movie by now. But its songs were quite nice to listen to. If these songs are not known to many then it is the loss of the listeners.

“Teen Deviyaan” (1965) was for some reason a blindspot for me, and I was not much clued in to its songs. Now I am finding out that quite a few songs, which I enjoyed listening to without knowing about their details were actually from this movie.
