The musical combination of Shakeel Badayuni and Naushad delivered several great songs. “Palki” (1967) was one of the last such movies which had lyrics by Shakeel Badayuni and music by Naushad.

I was not even aware of this movie called “Noor Jahaan” (1967). I became aware of this movie only after I got a farmaish for a song of this movie.

“Bahaaron ke Sapne” (1967) was one of the very first movies of Rajesh Khanna. In this movie, a very young looking Rajesh Khanna was paired against Asha Parekh.

I was not aware of this song till now. Reading the lyrics, I thought that it must be the “Gora aur Kaala” duet song, but it is a different song and it is from “Ram aur Shyam” (1967).

“Milan” (1967) was the biggest musical blockbuster of the year. Its songs had swept all the popularity charts in existence at that time. ( Well there used to be just a solitary such chart those days).

This song sounds so much like Raj Kapoor’s signature songs of “Chhaliya”, “Shri 420″, “Aawaara” etc. But this song is not picturised on Raj Kapoor. and even the music is not by Shankar Jaikishan.
