In Bollywood movie songs, “dil” (heart” ) is an important subject of songs. In these songs, “dil” is desrcibed like it is a glassware. It gets broken, and also stolen- and that too at the hands of the beloved.

“Teen Deviyaan” (1965) was for some reason a blindspot for me, and I was not much clued in to its songs. Now I am finding out that quite a few songs, which I enjoyed listening to without knowing about their details were actually from this movie.

I have watched many old actors only in black and white movies. So it was quite a pleasant suprise to see Ameeta, one of the more lovable leading ladies of 1950s and 1960s in colour, and that too in a B grade movie.

“Aadhi Raat ke baad” (1965) was a B grade movie which had Shailesh Kumar (who ?) as the hero, and dancer Ragini as the heroine.

C grade Bollywood movies on 1950s and 1960s failed to get registered in the minds of mainstream audience, but these movies certainly had some audience and they must have been making enough money to stay in business.
