“Aapki Parchhaayian” (1964), like “Anpadh” (1962) was one movie that enhanced Madan Mohan’s repulation as being the ghazal king of Bollywood music world. In both these movies Raja Mehdi Ali Khan was the lyricist who penned some unforgettable songs.

I am aware that “April Fool” (1964) had some great songs. But even I was not awrae of this song.

In Bollywood movies,romancing and singing romantic songs have traditionally been the preserve of the hero and the heroine. Other actors were supposed to have no love lives in these movies.

There have been three movies called “Ziddi” over the years that I am aware of. These movies were released in 1948, 1964 and 1997. “Ziddi” (1948) and “Ziddi” (1964) have some very fine songs and I have posted songs from both these movies in this blog. The 1997 movie of this name is not noted [...]

Out of the various categories of song, I have identified one category of song as “Tajmahal” songs. Yes, there are songs that are picturised with Tajmahal in the backdrop.
