Here is a song from “Mohabbat Isko Kahte Hain” (1965). This song is sung by Rafi. Majrooh Sultanpuri wrote this song and Khayyam composed the music.

“Aankhen” (1968) begins with its its title/ theme song as the credits roll in. This song, sung by Rafi is quite a soul stirring song, one that rouse passions. Sahir Ludhianvi has written this song. His brief was to write a song on “Aankhen”, and he came up with this amazing song.

“Chhote Nawab”(1963) was a movie that was Mehmood’s home production and he acted as the hero in this movie. The biggest contribution of Mehmood in this movie was introducing R D Burman as an independent music director.

There was one thing common between O P Nayyar and S D Burman in 1950s. Both did not work with Lata and used the voice of Asha Bhonsle instead. And that helped Asha Bhonsle’s career no end.
